We know how to count to 100. Now let's learn to count, read, and write numbers from 101 to 500.

Examples:

  • 101 - One hundred and one
  • 125 - One hundred and twenty five
  • 230 - Two hundred and thirty
  • 345 - Three hundred and forty five
  • 489 - Four hundred and eighty nine
  • 500 - Five hundred

Place Value: Hundreds, Tens, Ones

When a number has three digits, the first is the ones place, the second is the tens place, and the third is the hundreds place.

Comparing and Ordering Numbers)

We compare numbers using the symbols `>` (greater than), `<` (less than), and `=` (equal to). Then we arrange them from smallest to largest or largest to smallest.

Examples: 250 > 180, 315 < 351, 400 = 400

Order from smallest to largest: 120, 105, 115 → 105, 115, 120
